Metenos was founded as a response to growing isolation in a digital world. We believe the dinner table is the most important meeting place in human history.
What is this all about? Metenos is a community and platform organizing exclusive dinners for 5 strangers in curated restaurants in Szczecin. Instead of algorithms on dating apps that judge us in a fraction of a second, we offer a return to our roots: 2 hours of face-to-face conversation over good food. No agenda, no pressure. It's simply about meeting new, fascinating people.
Why did we start in Szczecin?
Szczecin is a wonderful city, but like in any large urban center in Poland, forming deep relationships after your education years can be difficult. Our mission is to break down barriers in a city with great potential, where we often just lack the right excuse to say "hello" to a stranger.
Research from 2025 shows that up to 68% of Poles experience feelings of loneliness. We want to change that, one dinner at a time. Szczecin is our first home, from which we will launch our platform across Poland.
